This general listing is mainly based upon the handwritten note-book which Madame André Charlin entrusted the author with.
|
| | This was subsequently completed based upon information available from |
| | - the record catalogues published by the André Charlin label |
| | - the record catalogues published by Schwann in Dusseldorf |
| | - the record catalogues published by Musique en Wallonie in Liège |
| | or information given by Hélène Salomé (Valprivas), Mrs Demez (Liège), and Messr Unnewehr and Heuler in Germany
|
| | Missing are the recordings which André Charlin made during visits to Japan, e.g. for the Trio Corporation in the spring of 1968. The Kenwood Corp expressed its regrets not to have kept any archive material about this long bygone record business. The recordings were mainly of traditional Japanese music. |
| | No information could be obtained about LPs possibly produced by Panton (Czechoslovakia) or by a publisher in Milan as a result of a cooperative joint venture with André Charlin. |
| | The indications relative to the availability of certain pieces as compact discs are based upon the catalogues of Editions André Charlin and of Koch/Schwann. |
| | Unfortunately, the Erato Company did not reply to the enquiry about André Charlin recordings available as a CD reissue under their label. As Erato only exceptionnally gives credit to the recording engineer on its record or CD covers, a reconciliation is almost impossible without their assistance. |
| | While EMI should be complimented for their care in providing detailed information about the place and date of a recording - and the engineer in charge, it has not yet been possible to check for all CD reissues based upon André Charlin recordings. The EMI series "Les Introuvables", however, counts many such reissues, for instance of Yves Nat or Marcelle Meyer. |
| | Some CD reissues have also come from Trio in Japan |
